The Drive Behind KEWOTA
The teaching fraternity in Kenya currently boasts as one of national’s best paid civil servants, yet far too many women teaches still encounters systematic barrier to career progression and livable investments. It is even worse for retired women teachers who cannot meet their families’ basic needs including health care. In fact, most women teaches live on the economic edge, where unexpected salary delay or medical bill can trigger a financial meltdown from which they and their families cannot recover.
