The program is a multiple messaging campaign for adolescent girls aged between 13 to 18 years implemented in schools and communities in high-risk counties
KEWOTA is partnering with corporate firms as well as development agencies for resource mobilization towards realizing the following project’s objectives
Female teachers as grassroots change agents in the fight against SRGBV
Lack of information and training highly contributes in the causes of SRGBV. KEWOTA aims to fill this grap by making female teachers not only educators but mentors.
KEWOTA trains these teachers and the teachers bond with groups of girls in schools and become their mentors, and hold discussions to discuss GVB, teenage pregnancies and other isssues the girls silently deal wilth at school or at home.
The girls create trust with the female teachers and can report any issues to the teachers, thereafter KEWOTA comes in and works with relevant authorities and centers to handle the matters at hand.
HOPE FOR TEENAGE MOTHERS
KEWOTA has partnered with an institution that provides an avenue for teenage mothers to continue with their education.
The girls are allowed to be in school with their children
