Kenya Women Teachers Organisation (KEWOTA) CEO Benta Opande has today pitched camp at Kisii Stadium.
Opande addressed thousands of Kenya Primary Schools Heads (Nyanza Region) who have gathered at the stadium for the week long conference at the stadium.
The CEO used the opportunity to nudge heads to embrace modern teaching methods and to take advantage of the digital climate that is currently prevailing the country.
“This is the reason why KEWOTA has taken initiatives to guarantee a digitally enjoyable journey in teaching,” she said.
She added that as a welfare organisation, KEWOTA’s only mission is to partner with everyone in the fight for the betterment of Kenyan teachers. “Many of you think we are a Union, we are not,” she said.
Opande also orientated the heads into KEWOTA Laptop and insurance services that only KEWOTA members can enjoy.
The CEO was accompanied by Ken Nyakone (Kewota head office), General Agoi, Homa Bay Coordinator Mercy Adhiambo and Kisii Coordinator Margaret Ochako.
