When Obama became the President of USA, Nyang’oma became a household name.
But the name was not a standalone one, Kogello was always by its side.
There is Nyang’oma Primary School where KEWOTA CEO Benta Opande spent her formative years as a basic level student.
And yesterday Opande made a surprise visit to the school and mingled with teachers and also donated hundreds of sanitary pads to the girls.
“I feel nostalgic coming back here to this great institution that mkukder me into leadership,” said Opande.
Nyang’oma is home to many KEWOTA members and a pillar in welfare matters of teachers.
