When KEWOTA launched KEWOTA Shared Services , things have taken a tangent that continues to surprise many.
Hardly, a day passes before hundreds of teachers express interest in joining KEWOTA.
For starters, KEWOTA has launched K-Digital, a laptop project with partnership with the Government of Estonia and House of Procurement.
Under this arrangement, a teacher is able to purchase a laptop loaded with all the books, approved by KICD. KEWOTA has made arrangements for funding – *malipo ya pole pole* for as long as 48 to 60 months. The laptops: Dell, HP or Lenovo carry material worth hundreds of thousands if you were to purchase the books literally.
Other services such as KEWOTA microfinance and KEWOTA insurance, that have been tailored only to KEWOTA members, money and insurance solutions that are aimed to protect teachers from being taken advantage of by unscrupulous business people.
Madam Milly Asha and Truphena Saisi, KEWOTA coordinators in Siaya and Mrs Wamuhindi of Kiambu continue to send hundreds of forms to of teachers who have elected to join KEWOTA due to the innovative solutions they have introduced to the teachers. .
