When Collin Powell, the late former Chair of National Security Council of USA was promoted to a 5 Star General, he was elated as he went home in the evening dressed in the regalia of a 5 Star General. When he got home, however, his daughter told him that he looked funny and that his clothes scared her.
Biblically a prophet is never recognized at home and this has been the story- just like that of Powell where his promotion did not matter to his child- of Madam Mercy of Homa Bay.
The coordinator for Homa Bay has been speaking of the benefits of joining KEWOTA, but her husband, a teacher has ignored her with subtle warnings.
However, last Saturday, things were different. Homa Bay chapter leadership meeting that was held in Rodi Kopany recruited 6 new members where one one of them being a husband to the coordinator.
The teachers listened to the new products KEWOTA is launching such as Microfinance, Laptops loaded with and Personal Accident Cover and signed joined immediately.
The Homa Bay team also launched the branch certificate and put the office bearers in place.
“It was a good day when I started by recruiting my husband who has been very rigid and negative about KEWOTA,” said Mercy much to the chuckle of several teachers who were seated next to her in Rodi.
