It was a joyful day to the family of Madam Dorothy Kanini, Kathonzweni Sub-County in Makueni as KEWOTA after Kenya Women Tearchers Association came to the aid of her daughter, who had lost hope of joining boarding school.
The student had repeated Class 8 due to absenteeism due to family challenges at home.
Fortunately, she finally joined Secondary school after KEWOTA’s intervention.
Madam Dorothy could not hide her joy and appreciation towards the Association.
“We recognize that our members face a lot of challenges and when such issues are brought to our attention, we assess and respond accordingly.,” said the CEO of KEWOTA Benta Opande.
She added that as a welfare organisation, KEWOTA goes beyond its mandate to and assist members when they are stuck for we are indeed our Sisters Keeper!
