Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions are the surest way to the job market in the wake of job scarcity in Kenya.
Speaking on Ramogi TV this morning, Kewota CEO Benta Opande urged students whose KCSE results were released last week not to undermine and look down upon TVET institutions during placement.
The Kewota boss stated that the mode and scope of training is more attuned to the ever changing world of the job market. Compared to some of the courses offered at degree level, she said that the TVET Courses are more skilled based which is the best for faster Industrialization of developing countries.
She further stated that the government has invested a lot in expanding TVET Institutions as well as allocating HELB loans and grants to student to ensure that more skilled labour is produced for the job market and faster growth of the Country.
“TVET institutions have a special ability to discover, hidden talents in learners,” she said.
