Idah Ombaso, a retired teacher. Prior to her retirement she was in and out of hospital. She had exhausted her medical cover and had to use her savings to foot medical bills. This left her penniless. She currently lives in Parklands in double-roomed house with her last born son. Due to her I’ll health, her son’s school fees has been in arrears. In second term 2022, he was sent home to collect school fees and has not returned to school since.
Idah has been relying on handouts from well-wishers. Her two roomed house is in arrears. Upon negotiations with the house agents we agreed to pay December and January rent. The rest of the arrears she will clear upon receiving her pension.
Today KEWOTA Head Office through Madam CEO put a smile on her face and that of the son. She couldn’t hide her tears of joy which flowed freely.
We have done some shopping which will carry them for a month.
