The just released interim report by Workforce on Education and the subsequent directive by His Excellency the President, Dr William Ruto has renewed hope in our education system.
As a welfare organisation, we were so concerned about the welfare of the young children in case they were moved to secondary schools as earlier recommendations had indicated.
However, we thank is President Ruto for heeding to our call when we strongly recommended that Junior Secondary be domiciled in the existing primary if we were serious about the furure of our children.
It’s is an indication that HE William Ruto truly cares about the future of our children.
We further call upon all the relevant stakeholders including Parliament to appropriate budget accordingly and, as a matter of priority in order to employ the 30000 thousand teachers needed as an additional human resource in our institutions.
We are looking forward to implementation of this report with speed.
