Kewota Inua Dada initiative has launched their first Table Banking in Mwangutwa, Kilifi county over the weekend.
The Inua Dada initiative Kilifi County branch started in September with only 12 members, and as at now the group has grown to 170 members.
The event was graced by Mr. Ken Nyakone, an insurance expert and Madam Sylvia Kerubo from the National Kewota head office who presented 170 t-shirts, table banking booklets and registration forms to New the Members.
The members received a seed of Ksh 50,000 from the head office to facilitate the process of their plan of buying a plot and put up a guest house and stalls to empower their members.
“We believe a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”, Said Madam Sylvia.
Members received calls from various teachers who are more than interested to join Kewota. The team recruited more teachers from the region and promised to work with all Kenya Women in Kilifi County
