PEACE-THEMED KEWOTA MEETING IN KISUMU

Kenyan teachers were treated to a sensitization engagement at Nyamasaria Primary School, Kisumu East.

The event started with a peace walk led by KEWOTA CEO Benter Opande. Opande emphasized the need for peaceful elections and urged teachers to remain peace ambassadors.

The event happened just a day after Opande spoke on Sky FM, a popular radio stadium in Kisumu, where she urged Kisumu residents not to make politics a matter of life and death.

Accompanied by the National Treasurer Jacinta Ndegwa, Opande urged the residents to vote in large numbers and not to shy away from voting for refusing to do so is to vote for the opponent.

The Executive Secretary, Kisumu Brach, David Obuon, and other education officials attended the event. Also present was a delegation from Laikipia county headed by their County Coordinator, Madam Lydia Kaburugu. Mr. Obuon urged the female teachers to embrace Kewota and join the Association.
