Kenyan women were today challenged not to be afraid to express their democratic right and to vote for a person they believe has the mettle and purity to rid this county of the ills facing it.
Addressing women at a business conference at Serena Hotel today morning, KEWOTA CEO Benta Opande assuaged women not to be afraid to support a woman candidate since without a deliberate move to help other women, the gains that were made by notable women in history such as Rosa Parks, The Suffragettes that led to universal suffrage and many others will be undone.
“It is for this reason that I support a million votes for Martha Karua because as a mother and a human rights crusader, I know a win by Martha is a win by all women,” she said.
