KEWOTA members on the 25th of June held a successful meeting at the XAVERIAN Primary School in Kisumu.
The CEO Benta Opande affirmed the association’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of women teachers and investing in the welfare and education of the girlchild.
The Chair, Dorothy Muthoni urged the members to be bold and come out and vie for leadership positions without fear. She also advocated for a special needs Centre in every school to integrate the children with special needs with the rest early. She also Thanked the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) for the support and care it has extended to teachers and KEWOTA.
The National Treasurer Jacinta Ndegwa urged teachers to look out for business opportunities in the Counties and bid for them.
At the end of the meeting, it was resolved that every Kenyan teacher should belong to KEWOTA.
The Maseno School for the Deaf treated the guests to an electrifying performance and music.
